To me, personally, it's CP. It might be cool to cruise around in but not $35k worth of cool. That doesn't mean that it wouldn't be worth it to somebody, though. I'd rather have this '64 for that amount.

I'm inclined to agree with you - just because something is one of two made doesn't mean you can ask whatever you want for it. Commenter at Hemmings thought it was about 9 grand heavy, based on what I don't know. For that money I'd rather find a 60s Thunderbird convertible, but that's just me.

Just because it's rare doesn't automatically make it valuable.
